Uke n Strum

Ukulele Band

Biography image
We are the Uke-N-Strum Ukulele Band. We meet and rehearse every Wednesday afternoon between 1pm and 3pm at St Johns Hall in Widnes. We currently have 8 members {men and women} mainly of retirement age. We are a sister group of the D'Ukes of Halton.
"The D'Ukes of Halton are a fun based group of various musical abilities, constantly trying to raise their musical standards, always in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere.
A few band members decided to get together in a smaller group and formed the Uke-N-Strum in order to challenge their musical abilities even further.
We play at various venues including care homes, charity events, birthdays and anniversary celebrations, both locally and further afield.
We have played at the famous Cavern Club in Liverpool, the Hoylake Summer Strum {a two day event} and the Brindley Theatre, to name but a few.
